Cult Rock songwriter/musician......Born in Quebec one week before the My Lai Massacre.....played piano with a broken arm, listened to EASY RIDER soundtrack......moved to Halifax around '71, and first hooked up with what become Hali Rock Royalty......bounced around Quebec and rural Nova Scotia.....veteran of both real and imaginary bands such as The Heat, Red Tape, Hooker, The Bad Who, Dust Party, Starkman Surgical Supply Featuring Bob Mover, Bad Sister etc.......
Has written, recorded, and played with members of Sloan, Thrush Hermit, Superfriendz, Jale, Doughboys, Change Of Heart, Leonard Conan, others.....has two Siamese cats.......lives quietly in Halifax.....gigs and records with Alewives, Skinned Roadie, Deluxe & Delangros, and Grimson, Inc.
DISCOGRAPHY: PISS DE RESISTANCE (1993) Cassette. With the killer shark on the cover. 2 versions - 10 songs vs. 20. Sloan covered "Stood Up" not long after. ROCK AT YOUR HEAD (1995) Cassette. Another 90 minute cassette, 25 songs, whatever. couple more cassette double albums around this time, various titles: THE DESCANT DON'T CARE, etc THE ARMS DEALER BLUES EP (1996) Cassette. Solicited and rejected by murderecords.....lots of cameos by my friends on this. Me and the kittens on the cover. various recordings with Joel Plaskett and Warren Auld. "La La La I'm Not Listening" still covered regularly by Joel. ARE YOU THERE GOD? ITS ME, MATTHEW (1998) Cassette. Double album cassette, 20 songs or so, "Drifters Raus" perhaps being the best known. AVE MILLENIUM (1999) Cassette. Never even given a half-hearted release, this provided the picking grounds for my two CDs. various recordings over the next few years. MY DEMONS TO YOUR KINGS (2001) CD Recorded with Douglas September. The only document of nine months without a cigarette. A LIFE PLAYED FOR KEEPS (2003) Recorded with Gordon B.
